Hi moms! Planning first trip for August with 3 kids! Uber excited to say the least! Want to know two things... 1. Can you eat food while waiting in ride lines? 2. Any tips on how to withstand and help with the hot! August temps while touring the parks?

Hello Janette!  I have traveled with my three children a few times during the month of August and I'll probably be doing it again this year!  Yes, it's hot but it's definitely manageable.  First and foremost, I would suggest you keep a water bottle with you at all times.  It's important to stay hydrated.  We tend to start our day very early before it gets too hot and then return to the resort for a rest or swim mid-day to cool off.  We plan dinner or another indoor activity for around 5:00 as it seems that is when a pop-up storm usually passes through when we vacation.  It rains very hard but it doesn't last too long.  Keep an eye on the skies and when it thunders, take cover as you need to treat the lightning seriously in Florida.

As far as eating snacks in lines - yes, that is allowed.  There should be garbage cans located in the area just before you board the attraction should you need it.

Have a wonderful vacation and stay cool!  Please let us know if you have any follow-up questions.
