Hello, I am planning a first time visit to WDW. I am a veteran DL visitor but this will be my first visit to FL. This will also be my first Disney Vacation with my 15 month old son. What hotel and park would be best for baby and family? Also budget wise?

One of my favorite things about planning a trip to Walt Disney World is that there are so many options on where to stay that everyone can come visit. From penthouses to tents, from cabins to villas, there is a place for everyone here. I would begin by ordering the free Disney Vacation Planning DVD. This is a great tool to help you decide all of the important planning events. From where you want to eat that special meal with your favorite Disney characters to what resort best suits your needs, this DVD is really helpful. I am a huge fan of Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort. I stayed there in April and was so impressed by the entire resort. The lobby is breath taking, the food is really special, and they have a real African Savanna outside. It is so amazing to see real giraffes and zebra right outside your window. I spent more time on my balcony just watching the animals glide past. As for where to visit, I always start at the Magic Kingdom. I would suggest a stroll down Main Street U.S.A. and a visit to meet the big cheese himself, Mickey Mouse, over at Town Square Theater. From there I would try out all the rides that we have at Disneyland, but are different in Orlando. Attractions like the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean and even 'it's a small world' are great fun for both of you. I hope this helps you have a more magical vacation.

As a Los Angeles native I basically grew up at Disneyland. It has always been so easy to take my family on the short drive to the Happiest Place on Earth. Watching my daughters make magical memories reminds me why I keep coming back. Learn More About Ari
