Planning a first time visit for two families. We will have 2 children in each family ages (6, 5, 4 and 3). Would we be better off getting 2 rooms at Wildernss or 2 suites at AOA? My biggest concern with AOA is the transportation/wait times with kids?

    Hi Ashley,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  You have narrowed down your Walt Disney World Resort selections and have two great choices!  Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Art of Animation are two completely different choices, but whichever resort you choose you won't be disappointed.

Having recently stayed at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, transportation and wait times was my biggest concern as well.  I am happy to report that the wait and travel times are actually shorter than other resorts I have states at because there is only one stop, so guests are transported directly from the hotel to the Theme Park and vice versa.  Other resorts have multiple stops, or share buses with other multiple resorts, where this was not the case for Disney's Art off Animation Resort.

I would suggest to look at the amenities offered at both resorts, and see which offers more for your family.  Disney's Wilderness Lodge is a Deluxe Resort and offers more in terms of dining options and other amenities.  On the other hand, Disney's Art of Animation is considered a Value Resort, and although beautiful and fabulously themed, the finishes in the suites are not as high end as those in Deluxe category Resorts.

Personally, I would choose two rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  The added dining options as well as proximity to the Magic Kingdom are more important than theming and a bigger (but super cool) suite.

I hope you have a Magical time on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Ashley.  Please let me know if you have any more questions while planning.  I would be happy to help!
