Hi! We are planning a first time trip in October. My husband is interested in cane pole fishing at Port Orleans Riverside. We will not be staying on Disney property due to our budget. Is fishing something he can participate in without being a resort guest?

    Hi Sara,

You will not need to be staying in a WDW Resort in order to take advantage of the different activities that can be purchased and enjoyed at each resort.  You only need to be a guest who is visiting Walt Disney World (whether you are staying on-property or off-property).  You can certainly enjoy the different Recreational Activities that each WDW Resort offers such as Water Craft Rentals, Specialty Cruises, Fireworks Voyages, Carriage Rides, Horseback Riding, Fishing Excursions, Catch-and-Release Cane Pole Fishing, etc...  You can also enjoy the gift shops, arcades and restaurants at each of the WDW Resorts.  I hope you both have a wonderful trip!

    Best wishes,
