    planning a first time family trip next OCT with a 3yr old and 18mo old...are the events at Halloween too scary for them? And is there enough for them to ride on/do for their ages?Suggestions on the best attractions for their ages please!

    Hi Denise,

    Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) is one of my favorite events at the Magic Kingdom! The theme of this event is "not-so-scary" so its great for all ages!   If your kids are frightened by loud noises, the fireworks and Villains Dance Mix & Mingle may frighten them but if not, they should be fine with everything.

    Here is the schedule for this (2011) year's events:

    * Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade: 8:15 p.m. & 10:30 p.m.
    * Happy HalloWishes Fireworks: 9:30 p.m.
    * Disney's Villain's Mix & Mingle: 7:45 p.m., 8:50 p.m., 10:05 p.m. & 11:15 p.m.
    * Special Disney Character Appearances 7:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.  Don't miss seeing ALL 7 Dwarfs in Frontierland - super cool!
    * Trick-or-Treating throughout the party
    * Character Dance Parties throughout the party

    Most of the popular rides are open. Here are the rides that are scheduled to be open for the 2011 events:

    * Pirates of the Caribbean
    * Magic Carpets of Aladdin
    * Splash Mountain
    * Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    * Haunted Mansion
    * Peter Pan's Flight
    * Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
    * Dumbo
    * Mickey's PhilharMagic
    * Snow White's Scary Adventures
    * Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
    * Mad Tea Party
    * Space Mountain
    * Tomorrowland Speedway
    * Astro Orbiter
    * Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
    * PeopleMover
    * Stitch's Great Escape
    * Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor

    There are tons of awesome character meet & greets throughout the park including some that only come out for special occasions. Be sure to pick up a MNSSHP PhotoPass.

    Kids & adults are encouraged to get in the spirit & dress up. Wishing you minnie spooktacular memories :-) Allison
