    Hi! We're planning our first stay at a resort hotel with our 5 year old daughter who loves Belle & Minnie. Trying to narrow our resort choice-we're thinking the Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk, or one of the Port Orleans? Other suggestions are welcome too

    Hello Lisa!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

    Your family is going to love staying at Walt Disney World Resort.

    My family´s main resort is Port Orleans - Riverside, as my kids love the woods-like feel and the extra pull down bed at the Alligator Bayou section.  While at Port Orleans we have used Disney´s transportation and a rental car to get around, and both have been great alternatives.

    Still, staying at a Disney Deluxe resort is a decision that can add lots of magic to your vacation.  Deluxe resorts feature more space, luxury and amenities, the best pools, Character and Signature dining experiences and are located close to one or two parks.  With Deluxe resorts guests can make the most of their vacation time.

    Though Wilderness Lodge features possibly the best theme and feel of all Disney resorts, both the Contemporary Resort and Polynesian Resort feature the best location to access Magic Kingdom and Epcot.  The Contemporary is the only resort guest can walk to the Magic Kingdom, in less than 20 minutes, or ride the Monorail.

    On the other hand, Disney´s Yacht Club Resort, Beach Club Resort and BoardWalk Inn are all within a 15 minute walk to Epcot or to Hollywood Studios.

    If budget allows it, location is a must!

    Your daughter will be able to meet and greet Minnie Mouse and friends at Pete´s Silly Sideshow at the New Fantasyland.  Minnie Mouse also visits different Characters Dining experiences: Beach Club Breakfast Buffet, Chef Mickey´s and Mickey´s Backyard BBQ.

    There is no better place to meet her favorite princess than at the New Fantasyland´s Enchanted Tales with Belle.  What a fun and beautiful Character interaction!
