Planning our first family visit for March of 2011. We have two kids, 8 & 5. I'm looking for resort recommendations within the value or moderate levels. Thanks so much!

    Hi Kevin!

Is your family counting down the days until your first visit to Walt Disney World? If not yet, I'm sure soon enough! This will be an especially magical trip for your family and I hope you come to love all the special touches Disney offers throughout the parks and resorts as much as I do.

My favorite Value resorts are Pop Century and All Star Movies. Of course, you can't really go wrong with any choice, so if your kids are really interested in sports, then a stay at the All Star Sports will surely be fun (and great for photo ops!). Value resorts are pretty similar, and convenient since the spread of the resort is really very manageable even without preferred rooms.

My picks for Moderate resorts are Coronado Springs Resort, and Port Orleans French Quarter. Coronado Springs features queen size beds, the only moderate resort to do so. However, Port Orleans French Quarter is a bit smaller and more manageable, I feel, since I often think the moderate resorts are so expansive. In addition, you'll have some gorgeous scenery at Port Orleans French Quarter, and there is the added benefit of having the boat transportation to Downtown Disney. (Great for dining or shopping.)

I hope this helps and that you have a magical vacation! Feel free to come back if you need any more help with your planning!
