Hi!! We our planning our first family vacation to Disney with our 2 year old! HELP!! Where is the best place to stay with a GREAT kiddie pool & kitchen? Also, what park should we visit? I could use all the helpful tips you have!! Thanks!!!!!

    Hi Lisa!

In my opinion, if you are looking for a great children's pool and a kitchen, then you should stay in the Beach Club Villas, which is the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) portion of the Beach Club Resort.  We stayed in a 1 Bedroom Deluxe Villa.  The Beach Club and Yacht Club Resorts share the best pool at Walt Disney World, Stormalong Bay.  Not only is it a great pool for older children and adults, but the children's pool is also fabulous.  The entire pool has a sand-bottom and there is a sand island in the children's section.  My 5 year old and my cousin's 2 year old daughter had the time of their life in that pool.  They could have made sand castles all day; in fact, they could have spent the entire vacation at Stormalong Bay!

Another good option is the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  They also have 1 Bedroom Deluxe Villas with a kitchen and they have great pools.  Uwanja Camp is an interactive water play area in the Kidani Village portion of the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Most young guests love the Animal Kingdom Lodge as it is a unique experience to wake up to exotic animals outside.

If you have never been to Walt Disney World before, then you should go to the Magic Kingdom.  It is the crown jewel of the resort and there are a lot of attractions there for the whole family; most 2 year old children absolutely love the Magic Kingdom.  After the Magic Kingdom, I would recommend Disney's Hollywood Studios, followed by Epcot.  Here are some more thoughts on a first time trip to Walt Disney World.  Finally, here some of my thoughts on bringing a young child to Walt Disney World.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
