We are planning our first family trip to WDW in September 2012. Our son will be 2 month shy of his 3rd Birthday. We would like to know the must sees and most does for his age group. Any other tips and suggestions for this age would be helpful.

Hi Heather! This is a wonderful age and yet can be a tough age too while touring the parks. Many can be shy with the characters so you need to tread lightly with the meet and greets until you know how he will be. I have a 2,4 and 6 year old grandchildren so will share some of their favorites with you.

    Magic Kingdom:
Small World, Peter Pan, Carrousel, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, and possibly PhilharMagic although keeping the 3D glasses on can be hard for this age. Also Magic Carpets, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, and Pirates of the Caribbean if he is into pirates and doesn't mind loud noises. Continue with Tom Sawyer's Island, Riverboat, Country Bear Jamboree, Peoplemover, Speedway, and Buzz Lightyear.  The day and night parades are amazing and shouldn't be missed as well as the Wishes Fireworks. The Crystal Palace character dining with Pooh and friends is also great.

    Animal Kingdom:
Festival for the Lion King, Safari, Pangani Trail, JUngle Trek, possibly Flights of Wonder, Finding Nemo musical, Boneyard, Triceratops Spin and definitely Rafiki's Planet Watch! Grabbing a barbecue lunch at Flametree is our favorite.

    Hollywood Studios:
Lights Motors Action Stunt Show, Toy Story Mania, voyage of the Little Mermaid, Disney Junior, and Beauty and the Beast. If you can fit Fantasmic in some evening it is worth it.

    Epcot:
Seas with Nemo, Turtle Talk with Crush, Imagination, Innoventions, Mexico boat ride, and possibly Spaceship Earth.

Great Character meet and greets: Chef Mickey dining at the Contemporary or the Epcot Character spot.
