Planning our first family trip to WDW for Nov of 2019. My husband is the only one in our family that has every been. What are must do's for first timers? Also what are must do's with a 1 1/2 year old (girl) and a 15 year old (girl)?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shania! You are going to absolutely love your first trip to Walt Disney World Resort with your family. There's so much to see and do, and million new memories to make and share together.

The very first thing to do on your first visit is pick up some First Visit celebration buttons when you check in to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, or at any indoor merchandise location. This lets Cast Members know that you're visiting for the first time, and they love celebrating that once in a lifetime occasion with you. You'll also have to try some iconic Disney snacks like a Mickey Pretzel, or a Dole Whip from Aloha Isle in Adventureland while you're at Magic Kingdom Park.

The best part about all the essential attractions that you must do on your first visit is that most of them are great for your whole family! "it's a small world" will give you the chance to enjoy a gentle boat ride through all seven continents, and both of your daughters will be able to ride because it is safe for guests of any height. When you're at Disney's Animal Kingdom, all four of you can board an open-air vehicle and head out onto the African savanna on Kilimanjaro Safaris. Spotting 34 different species of animals roaming free is fun for guests of all ages! When you do want to enjoy some more thrilling attractions, you can take advantage of Rider Switch service, so that you can take turns watching the baby and not have to wait in the standby line twice.

    Have a magical day, Shania!

In fact, we even opted out of a tropical honeymoon to spend a blissful week at Walt Disney World Resort instead! I'm thrilled to be on the planDisney Panel and I'm excited to share everything I've learned from all of our trips and help you plan a memorable family vacation.  Learn More About Jessica
