We are planning our first family trip at the end of March and are looking at staying a full week. Our kids are 7 and 10. We want to maximize the experience with ease and fun. Any suggestions on where to stay, what to do and what not to miss! Thank you!

Where to stay, is really dependant on your budget.  If there are no budget retrains than any one of the three resorts on the monorail.  The Animal Kingdom Lodge is fabulous, if you want to wake up and see the animals of the safari out your window.  If you are looking for a more moderate resort Port Orleans is a fabulous resort, great pool with an amazing water slide I might add.  Then, the Value resorts, my personal favorite is Pop Century Resort.  I would also suggest purchasing the park hopper option, when purchasing your vacation plan.  This will allow you to jump parks, for example when Animal Kingdom closes at five, but Magic Kingdom is open until Midnight, you could head to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks.  The dining plan is another must, its so refreshing to not have to worry about having money on hand to pay for meals throughout the day.  If your planning on attending any dinner shows or character meals, the dining plan will pay for itself after two shows and a character meal or two.  It's well worth it.  Have a wonderful first visit!!!
