We are planning our first family trip to DW for 9/27 to 10/4, we will be bringing our toddler who will be 23 months in Sept. Any suggestions on how we should plan our days?

    Hi there Victoria,

I can vividly remember visiting Walt Disney World with my daughter just before her 2nd birthday and it was such an amazing trip and one that I will never forget.  It was during this vacation that she first began interacting and recognizing the characters and I'll  never forget the sound of her giggles echoing through "it's a small world."

Traveling with a little mouseketeer can and will be lots of fun, but remember that Walt Disney World is huge and you'll definitely want to pace yourselves and be sure to schedule time for breaks and naps if needed.  You'll also want to familiarize yourself with the Baby Care Centers which are located in each park.  The Baby Care Centers are like havens for moms and their little ones and provide a cool, quiet place to enjoy some downtime.

When my daughter was a toddler, we would always plan to hit the parks pretty early, which would leave plenty of time to explore for the morning and enjoy lunch in the parks before heading back to our resort for a nap midday.  After our batteries were recharged, we'd head back to the parks for a bit to enjoy some more attractions and an evening show or fireworks before turning in early to start the day again.

Since you'll be at the resort for an entire week, you'll have plenty of time to experience the best of what Walt Disney World has to offer.  I would probably plan to visit a park a day, or two if you have the Park Hopper option.  You might also consider saving a few days to chill at the pool, splash at the water parks, or shop at Downtown Disney.  Be sure to check out the character dining options as well!  I think your little mouseketeer will really dining with the Disney characters!

    Best Wishes,
