Planning our first family trip to Disney in November. Friends suggested making reservations in advance. It looks like most of the recommended restaurants are already full for reservations every night we are there. Any suggestions on what to do next?

    Hi there, Kelly!

Welcome to the DIsney Parks Moms Panel.  You must be so excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in November!  Speaking of November, I would definitely encourage you to purchase tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in advance.  If your dates coincide, you simply must attend.  Check it out!

Now on to your Disney Dining question!  It is true, many of the popular restaurants fill up for reservations right at 180 days out.  I will tell you that cancellations do occur.  If you are willing to check back regularly, you may find an opening for your dates.  It helps, of course, if you are flexible.  If I were you, I would make a back up reservation at a restaurant with availability.  Feel free to write back with specific recommendations regarding cuisine type, location within the parks, etc.  Having tried nearly all of the table service restaurants in Walt Disney World, I do not think you will be disappointed with any choice.  I recommend that you do not show up for your vacation without dining reservations.  Let me know if I can asset you further!

I wish you a truly magical vacation.
