I am planning our first family Disney trip for my 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Is there any recommendations as to which "princess" attraction/activities to experience with my daughter? Also is there an equivalent activity for my son?

    Greetings Amy,

Congratulations on planning your family's first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Hooray! Planning the vacation can be such a fun part of the magic and we are honored you have decided to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I always enjoy dining with our favorite characters to get a little more interaction time with them (and more pictures.) For Disney Princesses your have a few options, but my top choices are Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. Dinner in Cinderella Castle is fairy-tale perfect, especially timed right to enjoy Wishes through the windows. The medieval castle setting of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is another storybook location and offers a wonderful meal with many favorite princesses and even a friend or two.

My 4-year-old is a huge fan of Mickey Mouse, so we always visit him at Town Square Theater (our favorite location.) He also loved the Disney Junior Play 'n Dine experience at Hollywood & Vine. For a special treat they both may enjoy together I recommend The Pirates League. Your son could become a swashbucklin' pirate, while your daughter might like becoming a shimmering mermaid complete with make-up and glitter.

Have a magical vacation, Amy, and please let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist you with in your planning.

    Pixie Dust,
