Hi Nikia,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so happy to see you planning in advance for a trip to celebrate your birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Currently,
Disney Dining Plans are not available but they may return in time for your visit. My family loved the
Disney Dining Plan and the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. When we used the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, we always dined at a few signature restaurants.
Cinderella's Royal Table and
California Grill are two of our favorites.
In the past, the total number of meal entitlements we received were calculated based on the number of nights we stayed. So, on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, if we stayed 6 nights, each person in our party 3-years and older would receive 18 meal entitlements for the trip. These meal entitlements could be used at table-service or quick-service restaurants. When we used one of the Disney Dining Plans, they were only available to Guests staying at one of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels.
I am happy to report that there are breakfast options at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Some of these are quick-service and some are table-service. Some will require you to make advanced dining reservations. Each restaurant has its own pricing structure, so you will need to pay separately if a dining plan is not an option. To see prices, review the menus of each restaurant prior to ordering food if you are not on a dining plan. To review the menus, go to the homepage of each restaurant and click on View Menu. From there you should see pricing and menu options. For example, here is the
lunch menu for Cinderella's Royal Table.
As I planned our dining strategy when using a Disney Dining Plan, I would map out all of our dining plans for the trip with restaurants indicated for each meal and the number of meal entitlements required at each restaurant. To check the number of meal entitlements required, I would visit the home page of each restaurant and click on the link for Dining Plans. Right now, those links say Dining Plan Temporarily Unavailable.
I am so excited about your birthday visit. If you have not done so already, check the prices for this year to get a sense of how much your vacation might be. Although I know prices will change, I always check the prices for similar dates the year prior to our visit so I can get an idea of how much money to save. I also price out meals so that I can get an estimate of our food costs. When dining plans were an option, I would compare the dining plan costs to the dining costs if we were to go without a dining plan.
Nikia, I am sending a little extra birthday pixie dust! As it gets closer to the dates of your trip, contact a Dream Maker at
Disney Floral & Gifts. What would a birthday be without a little special Disney magic?
Magic and memories,
Donyell
