Hi, Anna!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your question! As the mom of a young son myself, I think it’s best to pick a resort hotel close to the park you plan to spend the most time in. It really helps if the journey between your hotel room and the theme park is as short and easy as possible! Another benefit of being close to your hotel is that you can make quick trips back to the hotel room during the day for naps, swimming or a change of clothes.
With two young children, I bet most of your time will probably be spent at
Magic Kingdom Park. One of the three
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels on the monorail line—Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa— would provide easy access to the Magic Kingdom. There is a monorail station at all three of those resorts, so your family will always be a fun ride away from “The Most Magical Place on Earth!”
Don’t forget to pick up a complimentary birthday button for your daughter, and if you have any table-service meals planned, let your server know you’re celebrating her birthday. You’ll likely get a special treat at the end of your meal!
Happy birthday to your little princess! Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your family’s very first pixie-dusted vacation, Anna.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
