We are planning our first ever family vacation to Disney at the end of January. If we are staying at art of animation, are there fun restaurants that don't require park tickets that we can enjoy on our rest days?

Howdy Carey! I love your question! Rest days are wonderful! There is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World Resort. I love that you are building in time to experience it all.

There are countless fun restaurants outside of the theme parks. You will find restaurants in the Resort hotels, at Downtown Disney and on the BoardWalk.

Let's begin at your Resort hotel. Landscape of Flavors is a quick-service restaurant that offers everything from Create-Your-Own Cereal Bowl (fun!) to a Mickey Oreo Cupcake (yum!).

Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort has a fabulous breakfast buffet. Have your cameras ready as Goofy and friends will be stopping by your table dressed in their beach attire!

Rainforest Cafe or T-REX in Downtown Disney are both fun restaurants and at Disney's Boardwalk, you will find some great table service restaurants or you can stop by the pizza window and enjoy the sights of the BoardWalk.

As you continue planning your vacation, I would suggest that you make your way over to the dining section of the Walt Disney World website. From there, you can make selections for restaurants based on dining experience, price range, cuisine, guest rating and dining plan.

If you plan to enjoy any of the amazing table service restaurants, I would highly encourage you to make reservations as many of the restaurants are very popular and can be difficult to get into without reservations. You can begin making reservations up to 180 days prior to your visit.

It's so much fun to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I know your first trip will be nothing less than magical! You are going to love Disney's Art of Animation Resort! You have selected a wonderful Resort hotel!

Thanks so much for your question and please let me know if you need any further information as you plan your vacation. Have a magical day!
