Planning our first DL trip for the end of Sept. I just found out I'm pregnant and will be 20 weeks then. Do you have any tips for expecting moms? Will I still be able to enjoy what DL has to offer? Thanks!

I have visited Disney Parks with a bun in the oven and can speak from experience when I say that even expectant mothers can have a magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth.  Here are some tips that might help:

    1) Stay on property. DL is home to 3 unique resort hotels and while they're amazing in sooo many ways, the close proximity to the parks is the real bonus.  The Grand Californian and Disneyland Hotel are just a short stroll from the parks which means you'll never be too far away from your room if you're in need of a nap or a place to rest those swollen ankles.
    2) Comfortable shoes are a MUST.  This is coming from the Mom who wore stilettos and wedges throughout my pregnancy... but NEVER at DL.  I happen to love the comfy Yoga Mat flip flops by Sanuk.
    3) Stay Hydrated! It's important to drink water every day, but especially when you're pregnant.  You can bring a soft sided cooler into the parks to store bottled waters and snacks.
    4) Don't forget the healthy snacks!  As I mentioned, you can bring food into the parks, so I always like to bring my favorite healthy snacks... or those that I'm particularly CRAVING.
    5) Slow down and take breaks.  Pacing yourself is extremely important and there are plenty of picturesque places to sit and relax for a few.  DL Parks are filled with shaded areas and nice comfy benches!
    6) Familiarize yourself with the parks.  Take a good look at the maps to locate the lifesavers: Bathrooms, Food, and Benches.  You'll also want to locate the attractions that are "pea in the pod" friendly.  Anything that Pregnant Mothers should avoid will be marked with a red triangle containing an exclamation point. Other than those, you'll be all good!
Lucky #7) Take that once-in-a-lifetime baby bump photo in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle to preserve the moment!

    Best Wishes, Amanda F.
