    Hi Laurie,

How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! Traveling with a large group to Walt Disney World can be so much fun. I am glad that you are planning so far ahead. This is a great first step to a wonderful vacation!

If you have not yet, now is a good time to consider where you are going to stay. Since you have a large group, you will need to consider factors such as if you all want to stay in the same accommodation, or if you would like to split up into smaller groups. If you are staying together, you should consider staying at one of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts, many of which offer three-bedroom grand villas which can sleep up to 12 guests. One of my favorite places for large groups is Disney's Old Key West Resort. I love the laid-back, relaxing vibe at this resort.

You should start to consider where you might want to dine while you are at Walt Disney World. With a large group, you should make reservations as early as you can, which is 180 days ahead of your desired date to dine. I suggest that you plan for one table-service reservation per day. Often, with a large group, you might find it best to split up into smaller groups for part of the day - so that the teenagers can go ride the thrill rides and the toddlers can take a nap, for instance. Having one meal per day as a large group is a great way for everyone to come together to share the fun of their day.

I also recommend that you order the Walt Disney World planning DVD. This DVD is available free of charge, and will help you to start thinking about which attractions, restaurants, and resorts will be right for your group.

I would love to help you plan more, Laurie; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Have a great time planning, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
