We are planning our very first Disney World trip but I have no idea where to start. We're thinking maybe the first or second week of April. Would 5 days be enough to see everything? Are there any package deals with the Value resorts? Thanks in advance!

    Hi, Mimi!

Your very first trip to Walt Disney World? How exciting!

When looking over options, I suggest that you start by heading over to Walt Disney World's website, where you'll find a great deal that's offered for select packages that are booked by March 31st for travel April 2nd-June 14th, 2013, Value Resorts included! I'm sure you'll find a great deal there to help you start to plan your first visit. Just look at Walt Disney World Special Offer for more details.

To be honest, you can never see everything in one visit to WDW, but 5 days will be enough to get a taste of the four theme parks, with a little wiggle room as well. Because Easter Week wraps up at the end of March / beginning of April, I'd head to WDW the second week of April, rather than the first. According to touringplans.com, an unofficial crowd-prediction site, crowds in WDW will remain around 8-10 out of 10 most of that first week in April. However, the second week of April is predicted to remain at 5-6 out of 10 for the entire week. For your first visit, if you have the flexibility, plan to arrive once the crowds have died down, so you have more of the parks to yourselves.

Let me know how many are in your party, ages, if you'd like information on the Disney Dining Plans and what your interests are for this first visit, Mimi. I'd be happy to guide you through planning your first visit to Walt Disney World; it will be fun!
