Planning my first disney vacation with my 3 children 10,4,1. I want to go in a slower season looking at mid august - early october. Needing help deciding which time is best taking into factor weather & crowds!!! Please and thank you!

    Hello Maria,

You've come to the right place! Planning the time of year to travel to Walt Disney World can be one of the most important decisions to get the ball rolling, so I'd love to offer my suggestions.

Once Labor Day has passed and most schools around the country are back in session, the crowd levels will go down considerably. This will be the case until early to mid-October when fall breaks begin to happen. I would recommend going mid to late September. The weather could still be quite warm, but cooler than August, for sure. Average temperatures during this time can vary from highs in the low 90s to lows in the mid to low 70s. Keep in mind, too, that it is rather humid at this time of year, so definitely pack light, breathable clothes and comfortable shoes.

Have a magical time planning and please feel free to stop by with more questions as they may come up for this first trip of yours. We're here to help.
