    We are planning our first Disney vacation with our 1st child 1 yr. Where is a great place to stay on Disney that is affordable with the boat ride over to parks? We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge before. Also going with another couple and their kids 5 &

    Hello Heather and thanks for bringing your valued question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited to know you're planning a 1st Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your darling little one, it's sure to be very magical indeed!  

    Staying once again in the beautiful Disney's Wilderness Lodge would be an excellent choice or perhaps The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort?  I love the rustic 'home away from home' feel of the Cabins and I'm quite sure they would provide your whole family group with lots of room and peace and quiet plus this Resort is only a short relaxing boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom Park.  Other Walt Disney World Resorts for you to consider which also have boat transportation to the Magic Kingdom Park are Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. 

    The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, Disney's Boardwalk and Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts all have Friendship Boats which provide transportation to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Plus, did you know that Downtown Disney can be easily reached by boat from Disney's Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter Resorts, Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa?!

    I'm sure whichever accommodation is finally decided upon you'll enjoy a wonderful vacation making memories with your family which will last an entire lifetime.
