Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Cynthia!
I’ll be more than happy to help you plan for your visit! I’m so excited that your family will all be there to celebrate your son’s first trip! That’s so exciting and it makes me think of my Mouseketeers and their first trips. Thankfully, their grandparents were there to enjoy it with us and have visited with us almost every time since then. It’s become somewhat of a family tradition now.
Walking is a big part of visiting the
Disneyland Resort. You are in luck, there are some excellent options to better assist your father-in-law. You can first stay closer to the magic as you mentioned by s
taying at a Disney Resort Hotel. Once you arrive at the theme parks, you can go ahead and
rent an ECV or a wheelchair to use and enjoy while exploring the parks. If you choose to stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel, which is a little further away from the theme parks, you may want to consider renting an ECV or a wheelchair from a Disney Featured Provider. ScooterBug has rentals available, I recommend giving them a call if this is the route you take. Renting from a Disney Featured Provider will allow you to take your rental back to the hotel with you, so walking will be minimal from start to finish.
I hope these options help answer your question, Cynthia. If you will be needing any further assistance be sure to visit
Guest Relations. A Cast Member will be more than
happy to assist you with anything else you may need.
Have an incredible visit celebrating together and please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with, we’re all EARs!
