We are planning our first Disney trip with our kids in February 2013 (most likely). Would you recommend AOA or Port Orleans FQ? Our kids will be 7 (boy), 5 (girl), 2.5 (girl) at the time of the trip. Are the rooms big enough to forgo the family suite?

    Hi Alison!

This is a great question.  If you are picking the hotel for the children then definitely go with the new Art of Animation Resort.  It is a fabulous resort and children absolutely love all of the theming there.

If you are picking the hotel for the adults then I suggest going with Port Orleans French Quarter.  Port Orleans French Quarter is a favorite Disney Moderate Resort of many Walt Disney World fans.  As a moderate resort, it offers a lot of service and amenities.  It has a great boat service to Downtown Disney, which is a lot of fun and relaxing, especially at night.

I personally think the rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter are large enough for a family with small children.  However, you will definitely have more room in a family suite at the Art of Animation Resort.

Good luck with your decision, and please write back with more questions!
