We are planning our first Disney trip in February. I have two boys, ages 5 and 2. I am trying to plan our meals. I have purchased the deluxe dining plan. I need opinions on where to eat and what are the best character dining experiences?

Hi Sara, you've come to the right place and this is one of my favorite type of question. I absolutely love dining at Walt Disney World and the options are endless. Here are some of my favorites.
    • Chef Mickey's is fantastic. Not only do you get to rub elbows with the Fab Five (Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Minnie and Pluto), but the buffet is quite extensive and plentiful with lots of kids favorites, too. This is a terrific place to dine on a day when you'll be going to the Magic Kingdom since it is just a short monorail ride away. Both breakfast and dinner are served and both have characters.
    • Hollywood & Vine in Hollywood Studios is the place to go if you have Disney Junior fans. Breakfast and lunch feature characters from the popular channel including Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Not only do the kids get the one on one time as the characters make their way around the restaurant, but periodically, they will have the chance to go dance with them, too! Dinner is served here, but the characters do not appear at that meal.
    • 1900 Park Fare has one of my favorite buffets. Here you will find favorites like Pooh, Alice and the Mad Hatter at breakfast and dinner features characters like Cinderella and her stepsisters. Just a word of advice, the stepsisters and stepmother can come off as rude or scary to little ones that might not get the humor, so it might be best to choose breakfast at this location.
    • Hands down, one of my favorite restaurants to go with little ones that is table service but is not a character meal is Whispering Canyon Cafe. The servers absolutely make this a fun and lively experience. The food is delicious and plentiful and your kids will get to ride stick horses, wave their napkins and hoot 'n holler!
I am about out of room, but if you need more suggestions or tips, feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'd love to help in any way I can.
