We are planning our first Disney trip as a family. My husband and I and our two kids ( 5 and 3 months) will be going with my parents. Can the club level offerings serve as a meal plan? What are the offerings like? Are they different at different resorts?

Hi Sarah! Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World trip. It sounds like you are booked in the wonderful Club Level rooms. You will be treated to great food and drink treats in the lounge as well as personal concierge service during your stay and for pre-planning purposes.

My family has used the Club Level many times during our vacations and at many of the different resorts. It used to be quite different foods at the different resorts but now things are more the same throughout Walt Disney World. The one resort that holds onto some unique offerings seems to be the Animal Kingdom Club Lounge where some themed foods are more prevalent to the resort.

Some guests do not get a meal plan when staying on Club Level and I agree with that decision. You can certainly enjoy a daily breakfast in the lounge with various pastries, cereals, and fruit. The lounge will then shut down late morning and the only offerings that will be there for the afternoon are simple snacks such as nuts, goldfish crackers, and cookies. You certainly cannot do a lunch from the lounge fare. Around 5pm the lounge will reopen again with some hot appetizer type foods, cheese, crackers, and similar amenities. Although there will be some offerings for the younger children such as uncrustables this would not be a great dinner each and every night of your stay. The final offerings in the lounge are early evening when special desserts are set out.

I think you can enjoy a lot of dining in the lounge but I don't feel it can fulfill your complete needs. Besides that there are so many wonderful restaurants in the parks and resorts you will want to try during your stay.
