We are planning our first disney trip for our daughters 6th b-day sometime in November/December 2011. She loves all the princesses especially Tinkerbell. We can only do 4 days and want to know where should we take her so that we dont waste any time.

Hi Lita!  I love answering questions for Disney 1st timers, and a birthday for a Princess to boot!!!  You have chosen my absolutely FAVORITE time of year to travel to Disney.  You won't pass out from heat exhaustion!

The Parks will be decorated for the holidays right before Thanksgiving week through the first few days of January.  They are truly spectacular and are wonderful for picture backdrops! Take your daughter to Magic Kingdom to see Tink fly from the top of Cinderella Castle right at the beginning of the fireworks in the evening.  Tink will also be appearing at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Her other fairy friends will begin appearing at Epcot this spring.  Make sure that when you arrive at the Parks you pick up a schedule sheet.  They are located where the park maps are held.  These sheets will give you all of the times for meeting characters and special events throughout the Park on that particular day.  If you want to find out about character encounters before you leave for a Park, you can ask at your Disney resort.  They have the information available for their guests.

Oh, I almost forgot!  Make sure you take your daughter to get her complimentary birthday button when you arrive.  Just ask a Castmember where to get them.  Each Park has a different location.  By the way, enjoy the snow on Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom at night!  Magical!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
