Hi all, planning for first Disney Cruise for next year and I was wondering if it is ok to bring water and snacks aboard the ship? I know certain items you would have to pay more for but we like a certain brand of cookie and I doubt they will have them

    Ahoy Tatiana,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Disney Magic adventure is less than a year away and will be here before you know it. I'll bet you are over the moon about experiencing all the Marvel fun on your Marvel Day at Sea. Get ready to assemble!

Your stateroom will be your headquarters for all your belongings during your Disney cruise. And yes, you can absolutely take unopened bottled water with you onboard so long as they are in your carry-on luggage and not in your checked luggage. Since that might make one bag very heavy, I'd suggest splitting the bottles between yours and your family's bags. For most cruises, staterooms are typically ready by 1:30 p.m., so no more bag toting at that point!

My preference is to purchase water bottles ahead of time through Onboard Gifts or once onboard. If you do choose to pre-purchase through Onboard Gifts, just be sure to do so at least three days prior to your sail date. The water package will be delivered directly to your stateroom, and you don’t have to worry about carrying bottles onboard with you!

Additionally, sealed nonperishable snacks like cookies are totally allowed.  But let me just say that there’s so many wonderful varieties of food available onboard that you may not even touch those cookies! For those in between meal times where snacks are craved, try the poolside quick service choices available on all four ships. I'm talking pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and even gyros! Another excellent option is to order room service; chicken wings, cheese plates, and chicken fingers make excellent pick-me-up snacks.

Before setting sail, download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app prior to setting sail. Once onboard, you can access a full schedule of activities, entertainment, menus, and deck plans and use the chat feature to keep connected with family and friends onboard.

Tatiana, cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail. Wishing you a MAGICal voyage!

    SEA ya real soon!
