Ahoy,
Michael! It's so wonderful to hear you'll be cruising with Disney in 2012! How exciting!!! By the way, if I had to choose between a four or five day cruise, I would opt for the extra night. Personally I think Disney cruises are so magical that I would rather stay on the ship longer if I can help it. Now to answer your question about shore excursions. If you are going on a Disney cruise to the
Bahamas you'll stop at both
Nassau and
Castaway Cay. Your family can choose from a wide range of options at these ports of call. Since you are looking to do just one at each port stop, I will suggest my two favorites. I recommend experiencing
Parasailing at Castaway Cay. My daughter and I had the opportunity to do this shore excursion there. We absolutely loved seeing the entire island from 1000-feet in the air! It was a most thrilling and unforgettable experience for the two of us. If you've never visited Atlantis on Paradise Island, I would recommend participating in the
Atlantis Aquaventure. This shore excursion will have your entire family experiencing a most amazing Aquaventure waterscape. We enjoyed several thrilling water slides, as well as, the lazy river. In addition, you'll be able to walk through The Dig, which is a replica of an actual archeological site. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy a most magical Disney cruise in 2012. Bon Voyage!
