Hello, I am planning our first Disney Cruise for June 2012. We will take a 4 or 5 day cruise to Bahamas. Our son will be 12 then(familyof 3). We would like to do one excurison per stop. What do you recommend? Blessings to Ya Fancy

Ahoy, Michael! It's so wonderful to hear you'll be cruising with Disney in 2012! How exciting!!! By the way, if I had to choose between a four or five day cruise, I would opt for the extra night. Personally I think Disney cruises are so magical that I would rather stay on the ship longer if I can help it. Now to answer your question about shore excursions. If you are going on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas you'll stop at both Nassau and Castaway Cay. Your family can choose from a wide range of options at these ports of call. Since you are looking to do just one at each port stop, I will suggest my two favorites. I recommend experiencing Parasailing at Castaway Cay. My daughter and I had the opportunity to do this shore excursion there. We absolutely loved seeing the entire island from 1000-feet in the air! It was a most thrilling and unforgettable experience for the two of us. If you've never visited Atlantis on Paradise Island, I would recommend participating in the Atlantis Aquaventure. This shore excursion will have your entire family experiencing a most amazing Aquaventure waterscape. We enjoyed several thrilling water slides, as well as, the lazy river. In addition, you'll be able to walk through The Dig, which is a replica of an actual archeological site. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy a most magical Disney cruise in 2012. Bon Voyage!
