Welcome aboard, Michelle!
Thanks for logging in a question on the Disney Parks Moms Panel site. How exciting to hear that you and your family are going on your very first Disney Cruise - Yay! There's so much magic to experience while on a Disney Cruise -- your crew is in for such a treat!
I checked the
deck plan for your stateroom, and I love the fact that you are going to be located mid-ship. My family and I have never had an issue with sea sickness -- but I remember on our 1st cruise, that was something that I was also worried about. I prefer being midship myself, and I've always made stateroom reservations as close to mid ship as possible. A lot of guests who have cruised before also suggest that mid-ship is best. It is a huge ship and you'll be able to sense the motion anywhere on the ship, I don't think you can get away from it. But there will be so much activities to keep you and the kids distracted :-). Also, since you are on Deck 9, you are only 2 short stair cases away from the pool deck! You don't even need to take the elevator.
Your kids will have loads of fun at the
Oceaneer Club & Lab. Be warned though -- they may not want to leave from there until late... late at night! Which means... you can have some adult time to yourselves and really go on vacation! When you sail with Disney, there's something to do for everyone in your family, Michelle --
even us, parents!
Wishing you a splashtacular vacation!
