Welcome back to planDisney, Heidi! Going on your first sailing on Disney Cruise Line will be a memorable experience! I'm happy to help you with your question.
Selecting a
stateroom is a very personal choice! My family and I prefer an Oceanview Stateroom with a Verandah. I like to take my morning coffee and a book out on the Verandah to listen to the waves. One of my favorite things to do while on my Verandah, though, is to watch the pilot boat come to the ship to pick up the pilot after we leave a
Port of Call and wave as the pilot boat goes back to shore. Some people do not want access to a Verandah, though!
The other stateroom categories are Concierge, the most opulent of the stateroom categories, Oceanview with an in-room porthole, and Inside with a magical porthole. Stateroom categories do have guest occupancy requirements. For example, an Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah is for 3 to 5 Guests, while an Inside stateroom is for 3 to 4 Guests. Take a look at the stateroom categories on the
Disney Cruise Line website to view the photo gallery to get a better feel for what will be right for you and your family.
