Hi there, Carolyn!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you are planning your inaugural Disney Cruise Line vacation! As I always say, "Disney definitely knows how to Cruise!" From the delicious themed dining to the abundance of onboard activities and entertainment its just a magical adventure at sea! You will love it!
Determining a stateroom can definitely be a challenge. I still find myself second guessing the choices I make, but my main recommendation for deciding the best location for YOU is to look on a
deck plan to see what is above and below a stateroom. We have early bedtimes in our stateroom so I prefer to not be under a restaurant or lounge or right by an elevator for evening noise, but those locations may not be an issue for you! Also look at proximity to the elevators and if stateroom may be closer to a Youth Club anyone may be frequenting! We find ourselves going back and forth to the Oceaneer Club regularly, so we prefer to be closer to those locations! I think you will definitely enjoy the Verandah rooms; it’s so enjoyable to sit back and read a book while having a snack from Room Service and enjoying the sea air and view from your own verandah deck.
Once you settle on a stateroom, download the
Navigator app and set your cruise countdown clock to watch the days tick away! Also start exploring the
excursions available for your itinerary and be ready to book adventures when
first time cruisers booking window opens 75 days prior to sailing!
I wish you a wonderful and magical adventure aboard! As your planning continues, please visit us again!
Happy Sailing!
