Hi there, Jason! Thanks for visiting planDisney to ask your question. Welcome!
I'd be happy to point your compass in the direction of fun and adventure aboard Disney Cruise Line for you and your family. It's going to be a very Merry Christmas indeed! When it comes to any ship in the fleet,
activities abound for all ages, from pre-schoolers to teens, and even adults. You really can't go wrong, so if you're looking for a specific length of cruise or to sail from a specific port, you can let those parameters be your guide.
However, I do think that the newest ships in the fleet, the
Disney Wish,
Disney Treasure, and
Disney Destiny, could be great choices for your sailing crew. These ships feature sprawling spaces for kids and teens onboard and are equipped with the latest technology for games and interactive experiences. All three of these ships also feature the restaurant,
Worlds of Marvel, as part of the rotational dining restaurants onboard. Entertainment and character experiences are subject to change, but the last time I sailed on the Disney Wish, Spider-Man made an appearance at this restaurant during dinner, so it's perfect for a Spider-Man fan!
Each ship in the fleet also offers plenty of activities for adults, including
adult-exclusive restaurants, beverage tastings, a fitness center, pool, spa, and entertainment offerings. I highly recommend booking a reservation at Palo to dine while the kids enjoy their respective youth spaces on the ship.
I am sure you won't be shocked to hear that both
Lookout Cay and
Castaway Cay have activities geared towards children and adults as well. Both destinations offer family beaches, adult-exclusive beaches, and activities to take part in. I asked my kids (a tween and a teen), and they said that they prefer the activity offerings at Castaway Cay, but they prefer the food and beach at Lookout Cay.
Jason, I know I have only shared a quick overview of these options, so if you'd like to go more in-depth on any topic, please sail back and ask. My pals and I will be here for you!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
