Planning our first adult only trip to WDW in Sept, my dad is planning on coming for 2 days or so to visit us w/ two 15yo's. We want to go out for a dinner w/ just him and to the piano bar one night, what is there for the kids to do on their own?

You all are going to have such an amazing time at Walt Disney World. I really like the fact that you are doing an adult vacation. It really brings out the child in all of us, which we need sometimes. A piano bar sounds fabulous. Jellyrolls on Disney's Boardwalk is an awesome piano bar that you should try. As for keeping 15 year old entertained, you have come to the right place. Walt Disney World parks have attractions that will keep them occupied the entire vacation. Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the list goes on and on, and that is just at the Magic Kingdom! At Disney's Hollywood Studios they can ride the new Star Tours, Rock & Roll Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. These are just a few of the many out of this world attractions that will leave them begging for more time away from the parents to explore this amazing place. I hope you all have a magical vacation.
