I am planning for the Feb 2016 1/2 marathon. Trying to do the minimum stay down there, my husband cannot take off work too many days. if the race is Sunday at 530am, what is your suggestion for days to fly in and out. THank you

    Hi, Jennifer!

I'm excited you are planning on participating in the 2016 Disney Princess Half Marathon. This enchanted race is the most magical 13.1 miles on earth! And don't forget to mark your calendar for July 14th, at Noon EST, this is when registration opens to the public and it is sure to sell out in record time.

When needing to budget your time to attend, I recommend arriving Saturday, as early as you can, to allow plenty of time to attend the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo for packet pickup, and to relax before your big race. As far as departure day, I do suggest you wait until Monday to head home. A half marathon is very demanding on your body, you will need Sunday to allow for recovery by walking around a theme park (with your medal on, of course) or enjoying time by the pool.

I hope this helps in your planning, Jennifer! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions you may have. I am here to help make your runDisney experience as magical as possible.
