Hi. I am planning my family's next trip to WDW and we like to go for character meals, but I have noticed on the WDW website that the character restaurants are now showing 'Dining Plans Not Accepted'. Is this correct?

Hi Lynn!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It was brought to my attention earlier this week that the Walt Disney World website shows that some restaurants, like character meals, are saying Dining Plans not accepted.  I called and spoke to a Cast Member who assured me that this is not the case and is simply an error.  The character meals are absolutely on the Disney Dining Plan.  The website should be updated soon to correct this.  If you have any questions, you can always call 407-WDW-DINE to verify with a Cast Member that a certain restaurant is on the plan or just shoot me a quick question via the Panel.

Hopefully, you are looking into dining at Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom.  It is my favorite character meal and 1 table service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
