Hi Linda!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
With the arrival of
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge also came the unique experience of building a droid at the
Droid Depot. This not-to-be-missed experience is very popular and reservations are always recommended, and can be made online. There are strict guidelines to be adhered to because of the space available in the building area, and your party will be restricted to 1 builder and 1 guest, and at least one person in the party must be aged 14 or older, and only the builder may build the droid. This is one of those situations where I would recommend you speak with the Cast Members when you arrive for your reservation. They may be able to place you in a building station next to the shopping area, so although all 3 of you cannot be in the building area at the same time, you will still be close enough to supervise one of your children in the store. You may be able to swap your children part-way through the build experience, but I do not know if they will allow this. Again, you would have to talk to the Cast Members. As they are both under 14, you would have to be in the build area with one of them at all times. Whether you make one reservation, or two, is your choice, but you would encounter the same situation in that they could not build together as one guest has to be over 14.
Although there may be some limitations with building a Droid, you will love exploring Black Spire Outpost together, enjoying different snacks and drinks as you walk around Planet Batuu, or a meal at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, and I am sure they will love
Toydarian Toymaker. There is so much to see and explore!
Please come back and visit us again if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
