I am planning my family's first vacation to Disney World. We can either go the first week of May or any time in September. Which time is least crowded and has the better weather? Thanks Allison

Hi there Allison, and many, many congrats on your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!  I am so honored to answer your questions here at the Moms Panel in hopes of sprinkling a little pixie dust on your first magical visit! I'll bet you're so excited, and I don't blame you one bit!  I'm excited for you!

While both months you've mentioned sound ideal, I must go ahead and recommend September over May, as long as you wait until after Labor Day when most schools are back in session.

After Labor Day, the crowd levels decrease drastically and you will be able to enjoy minimal wait time on most attractions, as well as mild, comfortable weather.  The temperatures have usually dropped a little by September whereas in May, it can be really hot.  And while crowd levels are almost impossible to predict, some Disney fans argue that the best possible time to visit Walt Disney World is any time between September 5th and the 27th.

No matter which month you choose, I can guarantee that your family will have an amazing time creating magical memories that will last a lifetime!  Please don't hesitate to ask any follow up questions you may have!  It is always my pleasure to help others plan their Disney vacations!
