Hello Rodney! Welcome to planDisney! First and foremost, thank you for your service! We appreciate the sacrifices you and your family have given to our country! I am so happy that you would like to begin the process of planning a trip to Walt Disney World. 3 chEARS to YOU! You and your family will have the most magical time. September is a great time to visit, with the beginning of the
International Food & Wine Festival at Disney's EPCOT Park, where you can dine on cuisine and libations spanning across 6 continents, and enjoy some live performances from various artists. There is fun for the whole family! September also marks the return of the
Disney After Hours Boo Bash at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, a ticketed after-hours event that provides ghoulish delights and a frightening time for all mere mortals who dare enter!
Rodney,
military rates for Walt Disney World unfortunately only apply to active duty service members, retired, and 100% disabled veterans. However, you do have the option to stay at
Shades of Green resort, which is on Disney property! It is very close to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and has beautiful grounds, spacious rooms, and several dining options within the resort.
If a resort from the Disney Resort Hotel Collection is what you are looking for, I definitely suggest looking into
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. It is one of my family's favorite resorts to stay at. We love the easy access to Magic Kingdom by boat, all of the restaurants serve delicious food, and the rooms are spacious. Best of all, we love the theming! We love the mountain lodge cozy feel, especially after a long day at the parks. Sitting by the warm fireplace in the lobby is so relaxing!
Rodney, I hope I have answered all of your questions today! Please let me know if there is anything else I help your family with! I hope your family has the jolliest holiday at Walt Disney World!
