We are planning a family(myself, husband-picky eater, 17 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter) trip to WDW 8/18-8/27 & taking advantage of the free dining plan. We would like to see a dinner show any suggestions to which would be best suited for our family

That's an easy one Amanda!  Hands down, I'd recommend the Hoop-Dee-Doo.  There is a reason that this show is so popular among Disney's guests: it's fabulously fun!  Both your son and daughter will be kept entertained by the hilarious antics and slap-stick routines the gang puts on at Pioneer Hall.  The show is very high energy and rowdy (read loud), but oh so exciting.  Not to mention the food.  The food is plentiful and quite tasty.  I'm partial to the mashed potatoes and strawberry shortcake, but the unlimited sangria certainly doesn't hurt either.

If you plan to use dining plan credits to cover your meal, do keep in mind that this show does require two  table-service credits and you will be seated in either category 2 or 3.  Not to worry though, there is fun to be had in every section of the dining hall.  And do mention if you're celebrating a special occasion; the cast members are eager to help you celebrate!  Have fun!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
