Hello, I am planning a 3 family visit to WDW. We (2 adults + 8 yr old) stayed at WL in May '09. 2 families with 3-8 yr olds will be joining. Which deluxe resort would be best suited for all of us? Is any deluxe resort better then the others?

Hi James!  It is hard to pick one deluxe resort over the others since they are all amazing.  Most of the time it comes down to the themeing you prefer and the location.

If you are planning multiple days at the Magic Kingdom over the other parks then I suggest one of the monorail resorts.  Young families especially like the Polynesian with the relaxed and tropical atmosphere.  The beach is beautiful and the views of the Magic Kingdom at night are spectacular.  You have easy access to the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT via the monorails and also within walking distance to the Transportation and Ticket Center.

My favorite spot is the Yacht and Beach Club resorts.  These two are within a five minute walk to EPCOT and a short boat ride to Hollywood Studios.  They share the pool facility called Stormalong Bay which many consider to be the best on property.

A unique location is the Animal Kingdom Lodge and is especially attractive to those who love the quiet and animal theme.  You are not within walking distance to any park but many feel it is worth it to be away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds in the parks.

All deluxe resorts share the same amenities.  (Animal Kingdom Lodge does not have water activities)
The room sizes are similar and all have some sort of full service dining restaurant within the resort.
