Hi Barbara,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Visiting the Walt Disney World during the holidays is extra magical! All of the Theme Parks and Resort Hotels are beautifully decorated and filled with the joyous spirit of the season!
In my opinion,
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is worth the extra cost. Cinderella's Castle adorned with Christmas lights, the "snow" falling on Main Street, U.S.A., Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, and Holiday Wishes fireworks are guaranteed to make your holiday celebration
unforgettable!
If you get the chance, stop into
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and checkout the amazing giant Gingerbread House that's on display in the lobby. The Gingerbread House is an operating store where you can purchase homemade items like gingerbread shingles and chocolate-peppermint bark as well as gingerbread ornaments and miniature gingerbread houses.
Disney's Wilderness Lodge is another one of one of my family's favorite Resorts to visit during the holidays; it's just beautiful during the holiday season. There's an enormous Christmas tree in the middle of the lobby and, in the past, Disney PhotoPass photographers have been on hand to capture photos that would be just perfect for a family Holiday Greeting card!
Please visit us again if you have any additional vacation planning questions!
Magical Wishes,
Susan
