Planning a family vacation at WDW Nov. 11- 17 2012. There will be 8 of us all adults we need 5 rooms is it better to group the reservations all under 1 name or for each group to have their own reservation. How do we get a grand gathering dinner at EPCOT.

    Hi Chuck,

If each of the rooms is being paid by different individuals, I recommend that you place the reservations under five separate names according to which people inhabit the rooms.  You can certainly ask that the rooms be located near one another but for billing purposes, I would go with separate reservations.

As for the Grand Gatherings events, I'm afraid that these experiences will no longer be offered as of late January 2012.  However, what you could do instead would be to book a dinner reservation for your group of eight at either the Rose & Crown Dining Room in the United Kingdom Pavilion or at La Hacienda de San Angel in the Mexico Pavilion.  Book your meal for one hour before Illuminations begins and ask for a seat with a view of the fireworks.  Both of these restaurants have lovely views of Illuminations.  Be sure to call (407) WDW-DINE 180 days in advance of your arrival to make reservations at the restaurant of your choice.

Wishing you all a lovely vacation next November!
