I am planning a family vacation to Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom for my daughter's birthday. She is 2 years old but will be turning 3 years old on our second day at the Magic Kingdom do I need to purchase her a ticket for both days or not?

    Hi Brittney!

I'm so excited to hear that you will be celebrating your little princess's third birthday at Walt Disney World Resort! Every day at the "Most Magical Place on Earth" feels special, but it's even more special when it's your birthday. Be sure to get your little one a complimentary birthday celebration button for your trip so Cast Members and other Guests can join in her birthday celebration. My little one got a special birthday song from the Dapper Dans on his fourth birthday when they saw his birthday button!

When little Mouseketeers visit Walt Disney World Resort during their birthdays, their ticketing age doesn't change during your trip. So since your daughter will be 2 years old when your vacation starts, she will be considered 2 years old for ticketing purposes for your entire visit. This means that you won't need to purchase your daughter a theme park ticket for either of your theme park days as Guests who are under 3 years old receive complimentary admission. I think this means that your little princess gets extra Dole Whips and birthday souvenEARs during your vacation!

As you continue planning your trip, be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. New experiences and returning favorites are headed to the theme parks all the time and the blog is the best place to get the latest info about what you will be able to enjoy during your visit. Also, let us know if we can help you again as you continue planning! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
