Planning a family vacation with two grandparents, twoparents, sister (30), my husband (30), me (28), and my two year old. Most requested restaurants are in Epcot - Canada, Mexico, Norway, Coral Reef, and Garden Grill. Any of these not good for a toddler?

    Hi Jenna!

Thanks for your question. Looks like you have a large group coming down to Disney. Well, as they say, "the more, the merrier." :-)

Disney is very accommodating to toddlers, providing everything from high chairs to plastic "sporks" so they can eat safely. If your child is less than 3, they're not charged a plate and you can give them whatever you want off your plate. When I took my son at that age, the host would bring out an extra saucer in a number of places, so my son would have his own plate to eat off of.

All of my experiences with my son at these areas (Canada, Mexico, Norway, Coral Reef, and Garden Grill) have been positive for the most part.

The Princess Storybook Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (in Norway) is a good character meal highlighting Disney princesses such as Belle, Aurora, and Snow White (princesses rotate periodically so this may not be the actual lineup). My son ate sausage for breakfast and pizza there for lunch.

Garden Grill is another good character meal with Chip-N-Dale (and Pluto), and the restaurant rotates which should be pretty cool for your toddler.

Coral Reef is a family favorite, and San Angel Inn and La Hacienda de San Angel (Mexico) offer chicken tenders. I would say La Hacienda de San Angel can get a little crowded and may not be your top choice as there have been mostly older folks with margaritas if that's a concern. Le Cellier Steakhouse (Canada) also is one of your Signature surf-and-turf restaurants, which may not have much your toddler will enjoy (unless, of course, he or she has an elegant palette :-)

In the end, I think none of these would be considered total "don't do's," so it may come down to what you feel they'll like best. Go for the character experiences and Coral Reef DEFINITELY. Put the other in "optional" category based on you and your child's tastes.

    Have a great time!
