    Hello, we are planning our family vacation and are tossed between two moderate hotels. Caribbean Beach and Coronado Springs. We are looking for the easiest transportation for the parks. We stayed at Pop Century and felt like it was far away.

    Hi Beckie,

    My favorite moderate resort is Coronado Springs.  The location is close to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and the bus transportation system is wonderful there.  The theming is beautiful:  a Southwest motif surrounding a lake with a beach to play on.  I found the rooms to be spacious and bright.  The Pepper Market is a wonderful Quick Service restaurant that my family loves. You will feel you are in an outdoor market in Mexico, and you can always grab something to eat at breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  The Maya Grill is a fantastic steakhouse with Latin American flavors.  The pool area is so much fun for kids of all ages. There is the Jaguar Pool Slide at the Lost CIty of Cibola Pool and dig site as well.   Plus it has a huge hot tub- big enough for 22 of your friends!   You can jog or walk around the lake on the 0.9 mile trail.

    Caribbean Beach Resort is located North of the Pop Century Resort, but closer to Epcot.  It is a vast resort with 6 different areas.  This year it has a specially themed Pirate rooms with ship beds and lots of buccaneer accessories.  A footbridge takes you across Barefoot Bay to Caribbean Cay which has a nature trail and playground.  This is a wonderful resort to stay at but if I had to choose, I would chose Coronado Springs for the location and beauty.  Please send me a follow up question, Becky, if I can help you further.
