We are planning a family vacation with my parents to Disney this August, and have reservations at Art of Animation. How can we request connecting rooms? Thanks.

Hi there, Casey! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for bringing us your question! A summertime family vacation to Walt Disney World with a stay at Disney’s Art of Animation sounds incredible! With the proximity to the Disney Skyliner, you will be in the magic from beginning to end of your trip!

As you may already know, Disney Resort Hotel reservations are made for one room at a time. The best way to request adjoining rooms will be to contact Disney Reservations via telephone after the reservations are made and make that request as early as possible. There are no guarantees regarding special room requests, but the Cast Members definitely want to do their best to make families happy, and I know they will try to make this happen for you! Additionally, I would recommend that you contact the Front Desk of your Resort Hotel room on the day before check-in to reiterate your preference and that you do so during the Online Resort Check-In process.

Casey, I hope this information helps you plan the best vacation for yourself and your loved ones! Walt Disney World is ready to return Guests to the magic, and I cannot wait until you can see this for yourself! Before you travel, be sure to check out the Experience Updates pages, where you will see all the newest policies and procedures surrounding the phased reopening of the Disney Parks. Also, please know that you are welcome back here anytime we can help again in the future!

    Happy planning!
