We're planning a family vacation in Nov which includes 5 adults and 3 children (2,5 &5) would it be cheaper to rent one large villa type room or a couple of normal rooms? Are there special packages for renting a couple of rooms, dining passes, etc?

Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Kim!  Since you are traveling with a toddler and two preschoolers, I would strongly encourage you to look at Disney's newly opened Art of Animation Resort.  You can book a spacious family suite that sleeps up to 6 Guests.  The rooms here fall into Disney's Value Category and they are not short on value for money.  Depending on your children's interests, you can choose among suites themed with Finding Nemo, Cars and The Lion King.  Perhaps selecting two Standard Rooms  (Little Mermaid theme) would work better?  Because I don't know how you'd like to split your party up, I can not make a specific recommendation .  However, since you mentioned the possibility of selecting a "couple of normal rooms," this tells me you are open to that as a value based option.  Selecting two standard rooms in the Value Category will most likely be your best bet.
There are many different options for you though, Kim.  I would strongly suggest that you speak to a Reservations Agent.  You can give him or her more specifics and desires regarding your needs.  Call (407) 939-1283 they can help you plan the perfect trip for your group.   Although Special Offers have not been released for November, the agent can help assess your needs and steer you in the right direction.

Whatever you choose, I wish you a MAGICAL vacation!
