Ahoy there, Vicki! Thank you for sailing our way here at planDisney!
Wow, a crew of 22, you say? That's enough hands to crew the Dauntless, and then some! I love that you've been able to get your family to understand the answer to the age-old question:
why cruise with Disney? I hope everyone's excited because you're all in for
amazing entertainment, delicious gourmet dining, exhilarating sights, the open sea,
a wealth of activities, and more when you embark in 2024!
Unfortunately, Disney Cruise Line does not offer group rates or discounts on its sailings. Still, with your desired sail dates so far in the future, you're in great shape to get the best price available on your Disney Cruise Line Vacation! Prices tend to be the lowest right after itineraries are released, so while sailings are only currently available to book through May 2023, be sure to keep a weather eye on the Disney Cruise Line website for when Summer 2024 sailings are scheduled! Based on the past release schedules, I'd look for Summer 2024 to be released sometime around March or April 2023, just keep in mind this is always subject to change, but it's also a fun reason to come back to the website all the time!
Oh, and here's a planDrew-approved tip for you: while linking reservations is easy, remember that you can reserve up to FOUR staterooms on a single reservation! That should come in handy when booking for 22 castaways! While you likely won't be able to reserve ALL the
staterooms you need on a single reservation - unless you plan on taking a look at Concierge-level accommodations that sleep more than five - a call to a Disney Cruise Line crew member will ensure your crew's reservations are linked!
You can still have a shipload of fun with planning before then, though! From deciding what stateroom types you'd prefer to the types of
Port Adventures offered in the destinations you're targeting, and even seeing what the continued expansion of the fleet has in store, there's so much to discover and get excited about - especially considering everything that's included on a Disney Cruise Line vacation
Oh, and one more thing! As far as passport requirements for sailings to Mexico, while "closed-loop" cruises departing and returning to US ports don't
require a passport, I always suggest traveling with one! On the slim chance that anything happens which requires you to fly home from a Port of Call, you'll need a passport to do so! You can always check out the latest
travel documentation information for more guidance!
Whew, that was a lot of charting in a short amount of time, I hope your trusty parrot was taking notes!
Polly, read that back...
I can't wait for you and your crew to have an incredible time! Thank you so much for sailing our way here at planDisney with your question, Vicki! If at any time you have additional questions that come over the horizon, please drop me another line!
Until then, I'll SEA ya' real soon!
Andrew
