Hi, we are planning our family vacation to Disney World in August and trying to decide between an Art of Animation suite or 2 rooms (connecting) at Caribbean Beach. It will be me, my husband, 14-year-old, and 9-year-old. Which would you recommend?

    Hi Brandy,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your question.

It's great to hear you're planning your summer vacation at Walt Disney World, and what an incredibly fun summer it will be with all that's new an exciting like the new Toy Story Land.

In choosing between the fun and whimsy of Disney's Art of Animation Resort or the island vibe of  Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you'll want to keep in mind the current refurbishment projects at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort that include transforming Old Port Royale, building the new Disney Vacation Club Disney Riviera Resort, and constructing the new Disney Skyliner. I think you'll also want to consider which room layout is more comfortable for your family: the Queen Bed, Double-Size Table Bed, and Double-Size Sleeper Sofa combination at Disney's Art of Animation Resort family Suite, or the 2 Queen Beds in each room at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. My recommendation would be to choose the room accommodation you and your family will find most comfortable. My own family would choose a Queen Bed over a Sleeper Sofa, but every family's preferences are unique.

Whichever Walt Disney World Resort hotel you choose, Brandy, you and your family will have lots of magic awaiting you.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
